New Chapter | Janoi Daley
Horizon Gallery
Artworks set in a fluorescent, liminal environment create an immersive exploration of an imagined world beyond our own in which each work exists as a suspended moment. Through her paintings, Janoi Daley navigates themes of identity and cultural dislocation, threading together narratives of migration, colonialism, survival and the bliss within that. The exhibition underlines how Black bodies are perceived and treated in predominantly white societies, while celebrating the complexities of their existence.
