NEIL SUDHAKARAN
Neil “Shankar” Sudhakaran is an award-winning independent filmmaker, projectionist, sound designer, and arts producer from Akron.
During his time in filmmaking, Sudhakaran has earned 34 official selections and nine awards across the independent film circuit. He is also the founder of The Akron Independent Horror Short Film Festival. Most notably, he received a Cleveland Critics Circle Award for his film/projection work on Angry F@#$ at convergence-continuum.
Additional professional experience includes Vice President & Managing Director at Orange Horn Media, Director of Marketing & Strategic Initiatives at Bright Covers, and Multimedia Consultant and Associate Producer at iHeart Radio. Currently, he is the Corporate and Private Sales Manager for the Akron Civic Theater and working towards a B.A. in Film Production from Grand Canyon University.
