Overview:
Have a bunch of coloring books with finished pages? What do you DO with them?
Find a couple of your favorite pages and bring them to a creative experience!
Participants will be using their pre-colored coloring pages and up-cycling
them into mini-shadow boxes – creating new pieces of art!
Supplies List:
All materials – except pre-colored coloring pages – are provided. Everyone will take home one 5″x7″x1.75″ shadowbox.
About the Instructor:
Kimberly Porter is a local Akron artist with a whimsical sense of humor and a deep sense of self & soul. Her studio “Art+Soul” – where Kim creates suspended paper sculptures – is located on the 3d floor of Summit Artspace. Kim creates one-of-a-kind, kinetic, intricate hand-cut art out of paper. She focuses on creating art and art experiences that help people feel a sense of peace. Kim has a BA in Design & Crafts from Kent State University and also is a substitute teacher at Seiberling CLC in Akron, OH.
