Cameron Gorman is a journalist, writer, and artist working from Ohio. They have published works of poetry, fiction, and nonfiction, and have also worked in cultural commentary. As a lifelong writer and new visual artist, they decided to pursue art because they needed to survive. Cameron believes representation of self is essential to our humanity, especially those of us who are fighting injustice. Writing allows them to explore both their own life and the outside world, while visual art — like painting and sculpture — allows them to work through their mental health. They believe art is a means of connection and change — things we always need. In their free time, Cameron works as a visual artist. Their preferred mediums are clay, paint, and found footage.
