Outstanding Artists: Individual artists whose work within their field has made a significant impact within the discipline over five years or more.
DAVE RICH
Dave Rich was born in Oklahoma to Akronite parents Lynn and Ed and has been an official Akronite himself since age 6. Over the past 20 years he’s performed in and released albums with Akron-centric groups like Houseguest, The May Company, and The Beyonderers and has played hundreds of concerts.
His current music project is singing and playing guitar in the power-pop/garage rock group Dave Rich and His Enablers, featuring Chris Butler on drums, David Giffels on Bass, and “Friday” Mike Wilkenson on guitar. They regularly perform all over Northeast Ohio and since July of 2023 they have released six albums in their first nine months as a band with no intention of slowing down.
