Teresa DeMio has her B.A. in Graphic Design from Cleveland State University and is currently Digital Designer for FedPro.
About the Artist:
Teresa is a painter who primarily works in acrylics, but she also enjoys incorporating paper and mixed media into her work. The themes that appear in her work are often autobiographical. “To me, art is a tool to bring people together, tell stories, and express what can’t be otherwise written or spoken,” Teresa said.
Teresa loves being outdoors and in nature. She likes to run, hike, and camp in the woods, and appreciates Akron’s close proximity to the Cuyahoga Valley National Park. “Mother nature is the best designer; I’m always looking to her for color inspiration,” said Teresa.
Why Summit Artspace?
“I’m looking forward to making new friends, having conversations, and exchanging stories with other artists. Community is a huge theme for me, and I think that’s something that we’re all seeking, especially after how the past year has been. I’m very honored to be a part of the next chapter at Summit Artspace, hopefully one that is a period of lots of new creative energy,” said Teresa.
